Mpowerment Detroit

Mpowerment Detroit offers a clean, safe space for social events, public forums and group meetings designed to support HIV/AIDS and other STD prevention. Targeted to reach the high-risk population of young gay and bisexual African American males aged 18-28, Mpowerment Detroit operates from a loft in Greektown, in downtown Detroit. The goal of this highly successful program is to build a community of young men to take control of their own lives, health and future by promoting dialogue on the issues most relevant to their generation, including reducing the risk of HIV in the City of Detroit. Young gay and bisexual men of color can find out more about Mpowerment Detroit by contacting Program Director Jonathon Davis at jdavis@mpowermentdetroit.org or 313-963-9402.
